STOUDTS BREWING COMPANY

Fat Dog Imperial Oatmeal Stout

Originally brewed for bitter cold climes, imperial stouts are today enjoyed year-round, pairing especially well with strong cheeses and desserts.

Stoudts Brewing Company in Pennsylvania adheres to British tradition with its Fat Dog Imperial Oatmeal Stout, a bold, flavorful brew measuring 9 percent alcohol by volume.

Oatmeal gives Fat Dog body that’s slightly creamy. There’s plenty of the style’s telltale coffee, chocolate and dried-fruit flavor, along with subtle notes of licorice and molasses.

Bottle conditioning keeps things carbonated, and bitterness is mild.
